Campaign is on in full swing for the upcoming Nadigar Sangam ( South Indian Artists Association) elections, 2015. The group spear-headed by actors Vishal, Karthi, Nasser, Karunas and Ponvannan and others met Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan seeking their support in the upcoming election.
Nadigar Sangam elections was supposed to be held on July 15 this year. But the group comprising Vishal, Karthi, Nasser, Karunas and Ponvannan (which forms the rival group against the present incumbent office-bearers) filed a petition seeking stay for the same, owing to the fact that the elections were being held on a weekday instead of a second Sunday. Moreover, they wanted a retired judge to be appointed to monitor the course of the elections. The current office bearers of the Nadigar Sangam comprising President R.Sarathkumar and General Secretary Radharavi should be announcing the date officially and shortly.
