How did you get into this field?

I started taking pictures when I was 19. My uncle had just gifted me a camera and I was photographing everything happening around me. So when my cousin encouraged me to shoot his wedding, not only did I realise I was going to be capturing precious moments between two families, I knew I would be helping them make a lifetime of memories, those they can look back on and cherish. That’s how I stumbled upon wedding photography.

Tell us about your primary style?

My primary style is simplicity. I try not to overdo things in a wedding. I try and capture the essence of the moment.

What is that one thing you are tired of hearing?

“Can you photo shop and make me look thinner?!” (laughs)

What do you particularly like about photographing weddings?

Freezing some of people’s happiest memories in the form photos and videos is a special experience in itself. Getting an opportunity to interact with several kinds of people from different parts of the world has to be my favorite part. Oh and the food of course.

What is your favourite part of the day to shoot?

Mornings and sunsets/sunrises.

What is your favourite part of the wedding?

My favourite part of the wedding would definitely be the smile on the brides face while she ties the knot. Bridal glow is a real thing!

Your favourite equipment

According to me the lenses matter more than the camera bodies. I find the 35mm and 85mm perfect for my style of shooting so I use both the lenses for 90% of my work.

What advice would you give to couples looking for a wedding photographer?

People should always look at a photographer’s other work, not just the weddings he or she has shot in the past. This will give anyone a better idea of the photographer’s aesthetic sense.

If there was one place in the world you would love to capture a wedding where would it be and why?

There are a lot of amazing places I would like to shoot in. But if I had to choose one place in the world it would most definitely be Italy.

What is the best and worst moment you have had as a wedding photographer?

The best moment was when the mother of a bride told me that I made her daughter look like a princess.
