What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a challenging yet quiet form of yoga, it is based on Taoist practices and the concept of meridians or energy lines. Nuthan Manohar Explains about Yin Yoga:
How does it work?
It focuses on the postures which stretch the deeper connective tissue between joints. This improves muscle strength & helps prevent injury. If you already practise yoga or are looking to fly in other advanced postures, yin yoga increases flexibility.

I’ve never done yoga before. Can I still do it?
Oh, absolutely! This is not an advanced yoga class. The postures are simple yet challenging. We hold them for a while. So it deeply stretches the tissues & energises the joints.

I’m a senior citizen. Can I come along too?
We’d love to have you! As we said, Yin yoga postures are great to keep yourself flexible & supple. As we age, so do our joints. Yin yoga rejuvenates our joints & ensures long term health.

I’m injured. Is this for me?
Oh yes! Yin yoga postures help you recover from injury & increase the range of motion. These asanas always have variations to suit everyone’s needs.

Self care & compassion:
Yin yoga is a chance for you to relax & refresh & be gentle to yourself. We lead very active lifestyles & forget to be nice to ourselves. This class helps us reconnect with our body, heart & mind.

Making friends:
You’ll also have a chance to be part of a community. If you’re new to the city, or a stay at home mum, or an elderly person, or just looking to make new friends, come & join us.

I want to look younger than I am. Will this help?
For sure! Flexibility & suppleness plus stillness of mind equal young body & mind. When you are good to yourself, when you look after yourself, you look & feel younger than you are.
