Unventured is organizing the “Eastern Himalayan Bicycle” tour from Sikkim to Darjeeling. A slow paced journey, allowing you to truly live a local, you will ride alongside the Kanchenjunga mountain ranges over 11 days, taking ample breaks to visit Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, make a wish at Sikkim’s Tatha Gatha Buddha Monastery at Ravangla, sample tea from local plantations, and enjoy a ride following the Toy Train in the colonial hill station of Darjeeling.

The tour starts and ends in Bagdogra, Siligury. All transport logistics, food, accommodation and facilities will be taken care of by Unventured. Accommodations on most of the days will be in local homestays and in some places we will stay at a farm stay.

The Eastern Himalayan trail is a fairly high intensity tour and ideal for anyone who wants to explore a region on the bicycle. The riding distances range between 40-50 KM on average, the terrain through the trails is a mix of climbs, steep descents, combined with narrow roads. Cyclists should be in relatively overall good physical shape with at least a moderate degree of cycling experience.

Tour dates: October 8-18, 2016. Price; Rs58,000 per head (including taxes) – ex Bagdogra
