Frederique Constant launched its Ladies Automatic timepieces, during a glamourous gala evening with Gwyneth Paltrow in London. Frederique Constant unveiled its new classic and feminine Ladies Automatic models at the European Museum of the year: the Design Museum in London. Around 150 guests participated in the event including the brand’s graceful Global Charity Ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow. The event was held at the exclusive Design Museum where VIPs of the brand experienced the unveiling of the new Ladies Automatic timepieces. CEO Peter Stas, COO Aletta Stas and Charity Brand ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow revealed to guests a refined and delicately coloured collection in a flowery atmosphere. Gwyneth Paltrow said, “I am happy to continue my partnership with Frederique Constant and excited to unveil my latest charity campaign with the brand. What’s great about Frederique Constant is their combination of classic style with strong values of giving back. We are very well aligned in our passion for charity.”

The founders of the brand announced the brand’s donation of 50.000 US$ to Gwyneth Paltrow’s charity of choice: DonorsChoose.org. For each Ladies Automatic sold, $50 is donated to this foundation. This action enables the DonorsChoose.org to support education and sports for underprivileged children in the USA. To celebrate this launch, guests enjoyed a gala dinner, surrounded by the emblematic couture masterpieces created by the legendary fashion designer: Azzedine Alaïa. The presented creations at the exhibition are symbols of the empowerment of women and mirror perfectly the passion, creativity and craftsmanship invested into the Ladies Automatic watches.

The brand’s iconic “Heart Beat” signature opening at 12 o’clock stands proudly on the decorated sunray dials. The four new coloured Heart Beat dials are further enhanced by applied diamonds and Roman numeral indexes. With each glance, the proud owner can enjoy both the beauty of the design and the craftsmanship of the watch. This emblematic “Heart Beat” aperture has been a renowned success for Frederique Constant over the years. It is a true expression of the brand’s interpretation of time. Due to this embellished opening, protected by a convex sapphire crystal, the beating automatic movement can be admired.

The six new watches come either with polished stainless steel or rose gold plated 36mm diameter cases with an open case-back. Two models are powered by the FC-303 automatic movement displaying the hours, minutes and date at 3 o’clock. Four models are powered by the FC-310 automatic movement displaying the Heart Beat aperture at 12 o’clock, the hours and minutes. Both calibers are Swiss made with 26 jewels, beating at 28’000 alt per hour, offer a 38-hour power reserve and a water resistance of 5 meters. Modern and stylish, the alligator straps matching the dial colors are available in shiny grey, light blue, navy and burgundy.

The Ladies automatic range is characterised by the large number of options it offers to watch aficionados. The collection has sub-ranges called the World Heart Ladies Federation, the Double Heart Beat Range, The Love Heart Beat Range, and the Amour Heart Beat by ShuQi. The World Heart Federation Range focuses on heart related charities, embodying the spirit of compassion. Since its launch the Double Heart Beat models have become recognised for their trademark of two intertwined hearts at 12 o’clock. These hearts are actually apertures, which let you admire the automatic movement of the calibre of the watch. The Love heart-beat collection has the word “love” adorned across the dial. An aperture is present at “O” and allows you to witness the movement’s working. Overall, a true homage to the beauty and charm of women and an ideal match for any lady, who wants a fine and elegant piece of watchmaking.
