They say it’s all about the numbers. We couldn’t agree more! The Bar Stock Exchange is raising the spirit with Happy Hours all day long.

Interiors: Walk into India’s first stock market based pub chain and you’ll be transported to a grunge rawness associated with the army barracks. The installation at the entrance is a cluster of ropes in red, symbolic to the passion and love for the country, and the artistic use of fighter planes, army tanks, jeeps, bombs and gas masks add to the rugged ambience.

What’s hot: The best part here is that the drink prices change based on real time demand. TBSE is a fun, unique and cutting-edge bar concept that allows customers to trade in alcohol and spirits, with prices starting from MRP! The proprietary bar stock exchange software uses a comprehensive algorithm to determine and change the price of the drink for the next customer based on its
demand. All prices begin at MRP – Old Monk at Rs. 17, Kingfisher at 65 per pint, Black & White whiskey at 87! Order via a specially developed app that lets you monitor prices and order in real time.

Men behind the making: Happy hours are now passe, as Mihir Desai and Amit Singh of ‘Corum Hospitality’ present a nouveau bar concept chain that will keep you at the edge of your seat with the
country’s first and biggest (The) Bar Stock Exchange (TBSE), India’s first stock exchange based pub chain in Bengaluru, conceptualised on the lines of the stock exchanges.

Concept: Trade in alcohol while making sure you have a great exchange (of conversation, of course!). Starting with all prices (30 ml / 60 ml / full bottle) at MRP, prices of your favourite drink rise in direct proportion to its consumption over a period of time at the bar. Every increasing peg/pint ordered increases its value margin, to be brought down once again if time is on your side (if orders for the same drink decrease over a period of time). At TBSE, the market can crash anytime! When the market crashes, a loud siren is played, the screens on the bar and your app show you a notification, and the prices crash all the way to their cost price or MRP once again! Trade in all spirits, be it beer, wine or liquer, domestic or imported, house cocktails, evening or night!

Food: It’s not only the liquor, but also the food that does the talking here. The extensive food menu under the culinary expertise of Chefs Gaurav Gidwani and Kshama Prabhu offers the best of Tex- mex, American, Indian, European and Lebanese delicacies, with ample options for starters, a wide array of sumptuous main courses and hand-crafted desserts. There’s nothing that they don’t have when you want to order some food with your drinks. I begin with the Butter Podi Idli that was melt in the mouth with the perfect mix of masalas on top giving it the perfect zing. The Prawns Koliwada is an all time classic and is very flavourful, fresh and juicy on the bite. Gaurav also does a very interesting take on Kerala Beef Chilli. I loved the Khow Suey that had a crunchy bite and a tangy flavour for my mains. Soul satisfying! If you like Bombay street food, then you’ll love the TBSE twist to the Misal Pav Fondue, a Maharashtrian delicacy served with toasted pav and cheese. There are also a get-spoilt-for-choice range of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas and pizzas. Following the trend of Meals in a Bowl, you’ll find a vast range of wholesome and pocket-friendly meals in a bowl. Fordesserts, nothing gets better than a Death by Chocolate. Now any trader worth his salt knows Alcohol and Trading to be age old friends! And we believe every once in a while, markets favour the brave. Hedge your orders!
