Shabbir, Sherebanu, Murtaza and Mustafa Chass

Ramzaan to you is…

A month of fasting, prayers, helping the needy and abstaining from pleasures. It’s a constant reminder that you’re not just a physical body, but a soul as well. It’s a month of sacrifice and abdication of simple desires of life to attain spiritual growth in the eyes of Allah.

It is special because…

As it detoxifies the body and prepares it to be mentally and physically strong. This month also brings family and friends closer and spreads utmost joy.

Another important reason why Ramzan is so special to me because in this holy month, one billion people all over the world skip one meal every day for 30 days. This effectively creates a surplus of 30 billion meals, which is then pumped back into the society in the form of Zakaat.

A perfect feasting meal comprises of…

Khaakh-e-shifa, dates, fruits, milk, salads, dahi wade, meat samosas, kebabs and grilled chicken. We love to keep our iftaar healthy.

How do you celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr?

It’s a day to meet near and dear ones and have sheer khorma. We usually tend to do a big get-together of our entire family of about 35-40 people and make a trip out of it.

Three special dishes you look forward to…

Haleem, Shammi Kebabs and Sheer khorma

Your favorite haleem joint is…

Sarvi
