Thai Food Weekend at Waters Edge Café

The famous Waters Edge Café on Radisson BLU Resort, Kovalam Road, Mamallapuram has laid out a special Thai menu on 23rd and 24th April (Saturday & Sunday). The buffet will be on for lunch (both days) and dinner (on Saturday).

Children and adults can engage in activities like balloon sculpting & craft Shop, Entertainment like Magic show and Live Music, etc, apart from enjoying the delicious Thai food.

The Menu includes Tom Yum soup, Som Tum salad, Gaeng Daeng, Khao Pad 9 (fried rice), Pad Thai noodles, Kuay tiew (chicken noodles soup), Phuket Fish, Geng Kheaw Wan (Green curry chicken),  Thai vegetable red curry, Massaman curry, Thai mango sticky rice pudding, Thai style cream caramel, live Thai noodles & rice counter etc.

According to Mr. Elango, Resort Manager, Radisson Resort, “Thai cuisine is one of the most popular cuisines in the world. Seven of Thailand’s popular dishes have made it regularly to the list of the ‘World’s 50 Most Delicious Foods, a worldwide online poll of 35,000 people by CNN Travel. Thailand had more dishes on the list than any other country. They were tom yam goong, pad Thai , som tam , massaman curry , green curry , Thai fried rice and moo nam tok.”

He further added, “Thai culinary emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and a spicy edge. It is known for its complex interplay of at least three to five fundamental taste senses like sour, sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy, in each dish or the overall meal.”
