Tamilnadu day to be observed tomorrow

The state of Tamilnadu was formed on November 1st and five decades after the state was renamed, the government is gearing up to observe Tamilnadu day tomorrow. This was announced by Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami in the Assembly. Celebrations are being organized by the Tamil Development Department.
An official function will be held and the Chief Minister will deliver the keynote address. A conference of Tamil scholars will be organized at the Kalaivanar Arangam. The Madras Presidency was formed on November 1st, 1956 and in 1969, former Chief Minister C N.Annadurai of the DMK renamed the state as Tamilnadu. It was decided to observe Tamilnadu Day every year on November 1st.
