The Forum Vijaya Mall recently hosted a unique culinary cookout with the event, “Super Boss to Super Chef”. Heads of prominent companies across the city swapped their crisp business suits for comfortable aprons and cooked up a storm! The contestants included Kaushik Sarawgi – Vice President Finance of RR Donnelley, Sadhana Srinivasan – Founder of Neeras Design Studio and Dr. Wasim Mohideen – Director of Techmed Healthcare. Each of the super bosses were allowed to bring a partner and had to cook up a dish from a table laden with surprise ingredients, within a time limit of one hour.
The super bosses shook off their usually composed demeanor and hurried to the table that was heaped with a bounty of ingredients Kaushik Sarawgi and his wife Preethi prepared an innovative dish, ‘Cutlet O La Slice’ that comprised crispy cutlets topped with flavoured paneer.
The participants were judged based on creativity, presentation, name of the dish, usage of ingredients, cleanliness and most encouraged team. After an extensive tasting session by the judges Venketesh Bhatt – CEO of Accord Group of Hotels along with Chef Balaji – Co-owner of Salt – Restaurant & Grill, the grand trophy went to Kaushik Sarawgi. “The credit for this win goes entirely to my wife. She took the lead right from the start and made an extremely delicious dish,” he stated. All the contestants got gifts worth INR 20,000 including beauty products, gift hampers and a luxury watch.
