Hari Nair, Founder and CEO, HolidayIQ says, “Indians are known to be passionate fans when it comes to sports, especially cricket and planning one’s travel itinerary around major sport events has become popular. Travellers and sport enthusiasts travel across the country to watch their favourite stars but they don’t stop there. Once the game is over, they explore the destinations as well.¬†On HolidayIQ, there has been a growing interest in experiential holidays in the last 18-24 months.¬†Travellers no longer want to be a mere TV viewer and wish for an experience, not just to experience the electric atmosphere of a stadium but exploring the destination as well. That being said, travelling to get the thrilling taste/experience is partially a reason for most holidays planned during a sports event.”
