Smt. Priya Murle & Kartik Fine Arts presents Natyadarshan 2019, conference and performances titled ‘Kadamba’ at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. The two-day event was launched with an inauguration ceremony where eminent names from the Carnatic music and dance fraternity were present

Chief Guest, Shri Shekhar Sen (Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi) conferred the title ‘Nritya Peroli’ on Ms. Malavika Sarrukai. Guest of Honour  Smt Janaka Pushpanathan (Director- South India,British Deputy High Commission,Chennai)  conferred the title ‘Natya Chudar’ (Instituted by Saba Foundation) on Ms. Varsha Sankar. Shri K.M.Narashiman (President, Kartik Fine Arts) presided and presened the Nrityajothi Award of Excellence (instituted by Sri R.M.Sundaram’s amily in memory of Smt. Uma Sundaram) to Ms. Padmalaksshme Suresh. Madura Kalamani Award (institued in the name of Smt. G.V.Aparna by Ms Krithika Subrahmanian in memory of Viwan Madurai N.Krishnan) to Ms. Gopika Varma, Mohiniattam Exponent and Guru.

A homage to the ancient art form of Bharatanatyam, Kadamba is a means of delving deeper into the evolution of Indian classical dance over time. Through, Kartik Fine Arts Natya Darshan 2019, Kadamba, we explore the physical, emotional and spiritual impact of the art form. As we explore the layers of poetry, through Sangeetham and Natyam – the ability to comprehend the intellectual and metaphysical state of mind increases. All the sessions in Kadamba have been carefully crafted to deepen the consciousness and sensitivity towards the art form.
