Scientists have come up with the world’s smallest Christmas card measuring 15 x 20 micrometres. It requires a powerful microscope just to see it.It has been created by the National Physical Laboratory researchers in the U.K.The card is made from platinum coated silicon nitride. It features a jolly snowman with the words’Seasons Greetings’.

The card is a fun way to mark the festive season. David Cox,Research Fellow at NPL who created the card with his colleague Ken Mingard said that they are showcasing the progress made in materials research on this scale.
