Six women nominated for the Booker International Prize

Polish novelist Olga Tokarczuk who won the 2018 Booker International Prize for fiction has been nominated along with Jokha Alharthi from Oman, Annie Ernaux from France, Marion Poschmann from Germany, Juan Gabriel from Columbia and Alicia Trabucco from Chile for this year’s prestigious literary award. The winner will be announced in London on May 21.

The International Prize is open to books translated into English and published by British publishers between May 1st 2018 and April 30th, 2019. Six women writers have been shortlisted for the British based prize which celebrates the translated English language versions of novels from around the world.
