Siblings: The relationship with Your Mirror and Your Opposite – Sunny and Sipika Khandelwal

The bond we share with our sibling is like no other – they are our best friends and worst enemies, and also our biggest partners in crime. At times, siblings provide us with our biggest competition, strongest encouragement and remind us of our most embarrassing moments – life without them is boring, uneventful and no fun.

In order to honour this relationship of immense love and hate, Sibling Day is celebrated on April 10 every year. Keeping this celebration going, we went around peeking into some homes, to understand the relationship between these brothers and sisters better. Read ahead to know more about them…

Sunny and Sipika Khandelwal

Sunny:

What habits does Sipika have that you would change if you could?

She’s too sensitive, I wish to make her emotionally stronger.

What did you most fight about as children?

We used to fight a lot over chocolates. I used to finish mine and try and grab hers too and it continues the same way even till date – as they say, old habits die hard!

How has your relationship changed over the years?

We were two and now after our respective weddings we are four – the bond has multiplied.

One thing you can do that she can’t?

She’s better than me in most of the things – hands down.

Sipika:

What habits does Sunny have that you would change if you could?

He’s got this habit of imitating the silly acts of my childhood days. I wish he forgets them all…

Are you closer now or when you were younger?

Day by day, every day, our bond just gets stronger.

Did you ever have a crush on any of his friends?

No! He’s been very smart, he made sure I became friends with the girls he had a crush on so that it would be easier for him.

What does he always disagree with your parents about?

He always disagreed to let me go out for parties with friends.
