Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’s ‘Ramlila’

Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’s ‘Ramlila’ from October 13th to November 9th, 2015

Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra: presents the 59th edition of the mesmerising, much awaited, highlight of the annual calendarRamlila – which unfolds the messages of  the Ramayan, portraying amongst various things,  the wheel of karma; the consequences of past deeds. There are many layers of karma involved and dilemmas to be faced and the gap between good and evil is not as clear as initially imagined. Behind this simple story lies a cosmic purpose to be fulfilled : at every step along the way, we are tested emotionally and intellectually.

Ramayana is about devotion, loyalty, family relationships and respect to elders. The Kendra’s Ramlila is ‘education through entertainment’ – where tradition presents mythology in a contemporary context. The Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’s Ramlila, produced and directed by Mrs. Shobha Deepak Singh (Director – Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra), presents age old learning with the perfect technological ingredients that a modern repertoire can offer in choreography and music from 6.30pm to 9.15pm at Kendra Lawn, 1, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi.
