It’s festive season and that means a lot of dressing up and plenty of festival food. But with yummy good, especially festive sweets, watching the waist line becomes very important to fit into those pretty, sexy clothes. So now that you have indulged into some binging this festive season, it’s time to start working out seriously for that hot bod for the NYE night.

Exercise: You need to ensure you get a workout six days a week, for 30 minutes or more. But ensure you get a good workout to burn those calories piling up from the festive food.

Zumba: If you want a lot of motivation to exercise and a lot of fun, go straight into the nearest Zumba class and burn 1000 calories, have fun while you do that and learn some cool moves that you can flaunt at all the festive parties.

Burpees: This may sound strange, but this is one of the most powerful exercises, can be done in combination to other movements or on its own. If you have time constraints, cannot get to the gym, do not want to step out of the house, put on your workout gear, and start burpees.

Do as many as you can at a steady pace, feel the heart rate going up steadily. You can do as many as 100 burpees also and it won’t take you more than 15 minutes. Burpees will help add some muscle while also stripping away fat to build a bigger and leaner body. This move works your armsbackchestcore, glutes and legs.

Boxing: Surprised to hear me say boxing? Well, this is a fabulous workout to burn some fat. Punch hard in the air or use a punching bag. But do it hard and reap the oh so many benefits of boxing.

Boxing enhances cardiovascular health, improves strength, co-ordination and is an incredible mechanism for improved body composition because it perfectly combines muscle-building strength training moves and calorie-burning bouts of cardio.

CureFit App: This app has workouts for all fitness levels, beginners, intermediate, advanced, 10 minutes, 15 minutes and more and plenty of choice for workouts like Belly Burn, Fat Burn, Get lean, Strength & Conditioning. So without any excuse, this one will give you just what you need for a quick, strong workout.

Stay Active: Exercising for short or long duration is one thing, staying active through the day is another. Ensure you walk around 10000 + steps a day to continue the calorie burn.

General Tips:

Exercise will certainly help you burn all the calories, however, limiting the input of calories will also become essential.

Water: Stay well hydrated. It will help ensure to prevent any water retention. Helps shed extra calories. Get 10-12 glasses of water daily.

Food: Choose smaller portions of all the unhealthy food. You can always choose to eat a healthy meal at home before you head out for that festive party. At the party, take smaller portions of the unhealthy snack.

Alcohol:  Start off with “no alcohol”, if you must, choose to drink less and maybe just keep sipping on a drink for long hours. Any food you eat while you are drinking or afterwards will most likely to be stored as fat. Eat something healthy before drinking. This will prevent you from snacking on deep fried food and other junk while drinking.
