Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru, which welcomed its first guest one year ago, today celebrated its first anniversary. Amidst a great buzz of excitement, the hotel invited guests to experience the grandeur of its celebrations.
Situated in the heart of the central business district, Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru opened its doors one year ago, introducing a new kind of luxury to the city.
Every hotel guest was welcomed with a Dollu Kunitha dance performance, the popular drum dance of Karnataka. A tiered floral cake took centre stage in the lobby and lighting added to the celebratory spirit, making the hotel come alive. The celebrations also included a trunk show by celebrity designer Masaba Gupta, who showcased her Festive Collection throughoutSaturday. Proceeds from the trunk show were given to Hothur Charitable Trust, which supports acid-attack survivors.

Guests participated in the celebrations by treating themselves to a gastronomic journey across the hotel’s specialty restaurants, including Ssaffron, Shang Palace, Caprese, Yataii and Lobby Lounge. A candy station in the lobby kept the little guests enthralled. Guests were also seen enjoying their spa treatments, which helped them rejuvenate.
