Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli, along with the Asian Art House, hosted an art show called “Shades of Asia” recently. Held at Jade, the pre-function hall in the hotel, the art show mainly focused on paintings from Vietnam and was graced by the presence of Hyderabad’s finest artists, Mr. Bhaskara Rao Botcha and Mr. Steven Gandhi.

The event was a preview launch for the exhibition that was held on Saturday and Sunday. Eminent business heads, along with guests who had a fiery passion for art attended this event. Mr. Botcha demonstrated a live painting amidst the ongoing exhibition. The masterpiece for the evening that was covered till the end of the launch, was unveiled by Mrs. Rajika Mitra, an esteemed art connoisseur.

Vietnamese art is all about happiness and the event reflected the same characteristic. The artists showcased were among a bunch of highly accomplished new and emerging young talent who have been inspired by the well-established masters of Vietnam’s contemporary art world. The warm tonal colours gave the feeling of a mysterious and powerful energy of higher forces, something that is rarely present in postmodern art.

After the preview launch, the guests headed to InAzia, Sheraton Hyderabad’s in-house Pan-Asian restaurant and were served impeccable dishes, specially curated for the occasion by InAzia and Chime’s favourite chef, Chef Ninja. Mr. Shibil Malik, General Manager, Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel, Gachibowli, said, “It was a pleasure to serve our guests’ passion for art through our association with Asian Art House. The artists showcased a vibrant variety of contemporary Vietnamese art that our guests thoroughly relished.”
