Schoolgirl in cricket team

A 17 year old schoolgirl from Mumbai, Jemimah Rodrigues has become one of the youngest players to be selected to the Indian women’s cricket team.

The team will travel to South Africa for a three match ODI series next month. Mithali Raj who captains the team made her debut when she was just 16 years old. Harmanpreet Kaur has been named deputy captain. The BCCI has announced a 16 member squad for the series that begins on the 5th of February.
