Here’s a list of people who have recently come back from some fun getaways and share their experience. Here are their stories…

Destination: Baku, Azerbaijan

Duration: 5 nights

With: We were about 15 couples

Purpose: We love to travel to places which are unexplored and unique. This was to celebrate my 40th birthday and our anniversary with our friends.

Places covered: We were staying at the Fairmont Flame Towers – which is the tallest skyscraper in Baku. We visited quite a lot of tourist destinations like the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Maiden Tower, Carpet Museum, Ateshgah of Baku – the Fire Temple and its Old City.

“Baku is an all-in-one holiday as it has everything – beaches, mountains, mud volcanoes, and perfect party places. It is a great holiday destination and is very safe.”

Highlight: The beautiful architecture, awesome food – and above all the weather! The temperature there was about 4-12 degrees – a perfect way to beat the summer here.

Food: It has lovely food. There is quite a lot of the Middle Eastern influence at their local Tea houses. And not to forget the kebabs at a place called Firoze!
