Rihanna donates $5 million for COVID-19 relief work

Singer Rihanna’s non-profit organization the Clara Lionel Foundation has donated $5 million towards the COVID-19 relief work. The funds will help to provide communities with protective gear and medical and food supplies. Hollywood couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively had earlier donated $1 million for food banks.

A host of other celebrities too had made donations towards the relief work. Fashion designer Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra Versace Beck donated a sum of 2,00,000 euros to a hospital in Milan. Another big name from the fashion industry, Georgio Armani donated $1.9 million to the Luigi Sacco and San Raffaele hospitals and the Instituto dei Tumori in Milan. He also made donations to the Instituto Lazzaro Spallanzani in Rome.
