VK Sasikala the ousted AIADMK leader who is serving a term of imprisonment for being convicted in a corruption case in a prison in Bangalore is alleged to be receiving special benefits in prison. A report prepared by the earlier DIG of prisons D Roopa claims that Sasikala was given preferential treatment and even a separate kitchen was provided for her at the Parappana Agrahara Central jail in Bangalore.
it is alleged that she had parted with Rs 2 crores to get preferential treatment. She is being given permission to wear personal clothes and cook in a pressure cooker and some spices were found in hee prison cell it is said that is there was also a separate visitor’s room for her and she also enjoyed free movement within the prison. In fact there is a videoclip which showed Sasikala and another convict Ilavarasi going out of the female barrack carrying a bag.
