The purpose for the recitation of the rosary was to seek help of Our Lady to end the coronavirus pandemic. All the five glorious mysteries were recited and were dedicated to doctors, nurses, military personnel, priests, nuns, pharmacists, journalists, to those who have been infected with the virus and to those who died from it. After the recitation, Pope Francis extended his apostolic blessings.
