Actress Pooja Kumar walked for Chennai Designer Jeevitha Perumal “Ladylike collections” in India Runway Week 2016

Jeevitha Perumal, a Chennai based fashion designer showcased her collection at the 7th edition of India Runway Week at New Delhi on 18th September 2016 where Actress Pooja Kumar walked as a Showstopper. She was handpicked amidst several competitors for the category “Budding Designer”, and was the  from Chennai, to debut her new Collection Ladylike.

Jeevitha Perumal, a Chennai based designer who honed her fashion skills at National College of Design with a distinction in 2013 owns her studio in Adyar named D Sign D. She loves to play with fabrics, cuts and colours which reflect in each design of hers. Dresses by D.Sign.D are made with intricate care and attention to detail. Their collections are very classy and vibrant which brings out the personalities of every woman who features it.

At the seventh season of India Runway Week Autumn/Winter 2016, organized by the Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD), Jeevitha Perumal proudly presents her Ladylike collection under the label D.Sign.D on 18th September 2016 at Thyagaraj Stadium Delhi. In this three day event, she will be showcasing her works on day 3 where her ladylike collections will be showcased which draws inspiration from exquisite oyster mushrooms to reinvent the embellishments with the timeless ruffles.

A mélange of entrancingly elegant yet playful, colour palate ranging from soft pastels of rose quartz, serenity, arctic ice, lavender fog etc. This collection also exhibits fine techniques of the hand-crafted art in metal sequins work, embossed 3D surface ornamentation with vibrant metallic colours of gold and white. The outfits are finely tailored to be feminine and bold which contemporize indo-western silhouettes to reflect modern sensibilities, while keeping true to the essence of the original inspirations.
