PM appeals to the public not to panic

The outbreak of the coronavirus all over the world has put people in panic mode. The virus  has claimed 18,000 lives across 194 countries. In India there are about 500 cases and 11 have died. India has a population of 1.3 billion and has the second largest population in the world.

After the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown for a period of 21 days, many people made a beeline to grocery stores out of panic. The Prime Minister tweeted and requested the public not to panic and assured the people that all essential services would be available. All shops selling groceries, fruits, vegetables, food items, meat, fish and all milk booths are kept open. People can also order online in order to avoid stepping out of their houses.
