Speaking on his association with SCMM 2016, Edwin Moses said, “It is great to see such a fantastic response for the marathon. I have never run a marathon and don’t think I ever would. India is currently going through a running bomb, and it is great to see how many people from all ages are now taking up the sport, and are increasingly more concerned about their health and wellness.”

On his trips to India, Moses said, “This is not the first time that I have been to India; it is my 5th visit to Mumbai. I have been to different parts of India, and what is most striking about Mumbai is how it is such a busy city, and I don’t always have the time to explore as much as I would like to. The stand-outs for me are the spices, the colours, the markets and even things like suddenly spotting an elephant in the markets. I enjoy Indian food, and I tell everyone back home how Indian food is not what we have here in the States.”
