Opposition parties to meet on May 31st

The Congress Party has convened a meeting of Opposition parties in Parliament on May 31st to discuss the the reasons for their defeat and also discuss the strategy for Parliament session which is likely to begin on June 6th. This is scheduled to be the first meeting of the Opposition parties after the constitution of the 17th Lok Sabha.

The issue of alleged discrepancies in the EVM’s and VVPAT machines will also show be a  part of the discussions.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Cabinet will be sworn in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The Congress will also select the new leader of the Parliamentary Party and discuss the strategy for moving forward.
