Journalist M S.Nileena was conferred with the prestigious ACJ Award for investigative journalism. She bagged the award for her story on the Adani Group reaping benefits worth thousands of crores and how the coal scam continued during the Modi Governments rule. Her story was published in The Caravan last year.
She received the award from John Micklethwalt, the Editor- in – Chief of Bloomberg News. The award citation stated that her story had extensive research uncovering new evidence to reveal the unknown truth. The ACJ Award for investigative journalism comprised of a trophy, a citation and a cash prize of Rs 2 lakhs.
