A new book of fifty engaging anecdotes from the life of TV journalist turned lawyer Sanjay Pinto is all set to line the shelves in stores across India. Titled ‘MY NDTV DAYS‘, and published by Pan Macmillan, it captures the thrill of breaking news live on India’s first private 24 hour news channel. From posing contentious questions to a former Prime Minister, waking up a Minister from his bedroom for an interview, the challenges of reporting on the tsunami to edgy and humorous encounters with sports stars and film icons to even taking on a former Union Minister at the badminton court, the book also provides a glimpse into a different side of the late dravidian juggernauts – Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi.

The Author Sanjay Pinto, a former Resident Editor of NDTV 24×7, says it was “ a burning desire to chronicle my happy times, the pride of belonging to a world class organisation, working alongside the biggest names in the industry, the excitement of chasing the news, the adventures, the lessons, the hits and misses” that made him write this book, well after his 14 year innings with the news network ended in 2012. The work carries endorsements from Dr.Prannoy Roy and the author’s former senior colleagues Rajdeep Sardesai, Arnab Goswami and Sreenivasan Jain.

Laced with wit and humour, the book, Sanjay Pinto adds, “is not meant to offend or stir up controversies. While it is fashionable to lambast the media today, my book highlights the challenges of news gathering. This may also help readers get an inkling of the stress of ball by ball field reporting under trying circumstances.”

Priced at Rs.350, My NDTV Days is also available on amazon.
