Mobile company enters lifestyle products

Hyderabad based company Happi mobiles are looking to enter the lifestyle segment, triple the retail stores’ network and double the top line to Rs 500 crore this fiscal. The retail store which currently sells mobile handsets will foray into the lifestyle segment by selling LED TV’s, CCTV’s and vacuum cleaners.

The company has also forged an alliance with Xiaomi to become Mi’s preferred partner to sell its online ecosystem products in the stores of Happi Mobiles. Once they are successful with the ecosystem products of Xiaomi. the brand will look at teaming up with other brands for selling their lifestyle products as well.

Currently having 150 retail stores spread across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Happi mobiles are looking to open at least 150 outlets in the Telegu states in the next fiscal and are looking to expand into neighbouring states. The market size for mobile retail in Telegu states is currently estimated at around 8,500 crores with national and national players like Sangeetha, Croma, Reliance, Lot mobiles and Happi mobiles in the market.
