MLAs return home, with police escort

Manamadurai AIADMK MLA S. Mariappan Kennedy returned to Chennai, a day after a section of people showed black flags, allegedly expressing their displeasure with him for supporting Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami in the trust vote in the Assembly. The MLA, who came to his constituency on Sunday with police escort, allegedly faced the wrath of the voters with a section of people showing black flags at Laranendal on Monday. They were apparently protesting against his stay in the Koovathur beach resort for nearly 10 days before taking part in the trust vote.
