The State Forest Minister Dindigul C Srinivasan has alleged that the family of Sasikala gave slow poison to former Chief Minister Jayalalitha. Her untimely demise was caused by this food which did not suit her diabetic condition.

He said that if Jayalalitha had taken personal interest in her health, she would have been alive today. He also alleged that they were willing to take Jayalalitha abroad for treatment but this was thwarted by Sasikala and her family members. He further went on to say that the Arumughasamy Commission probing her death will reveal the names of the people who prevented them from taking Amma abroad for treatment.
