The fiancée of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle is to receive baptism as an Anglican Christian by the Church of England at a ceremony at Kensington Palace later this month. The 36 year old Meghan was born and raised in a Protestant Christian family in California. She will formally embrace the Anglican faith at the palace’s 19th century chapel

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby will conduct the service. It will be a private affair and the family members who are likely to attend the ceremony are Meghan’s parents Thomas Markle and mother Doria Ragland. This formality was not called for but Meghan chose to be baptised out of respect for the Queen’s role as Head of the Church of England.
