Mega stars clash awaited this August !

August 2019 will surely be a month for some big films. With many films in the pipeline, each film hitting the silver screen this August will feature a big star in the lead role.  Films releasing this August will definitely witness crowds throng at cinema halls and multiplexes and will be a special month for cinema-goers and fans.  A lot of films will also be clashing in August which also is a problem and will be a great competition for the films releasing at the same time. As expectations are high and each film features a major star it will be interesting to see which film will be able to rule the box office.

Nerkonda Paarvai:

This ambitious project helmed by H Vinoth which features Ajith in the lead role is the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film Pink. The film is Produced by Boney Kapoor and also features Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Arjun Chidambaram, Adhik Ravichandran, Ashwin Rao, Sujith Shankar, Rangaraj Pandey, Delhi Ganesh, Jeya Prakash, D. Ramachandran, Dinesh P Nair, Kodhanda Raman, Kalpana Sri, Kumara Gurubharan & Mai.Pa. Narayanan. This film will also Vidya Balan’s Debut in Kollywood. The Trailer had also been released a few days ago where indicates that the Tamil version shall stay fairly faithful to Pink’s storyline, with Shraddha Srinath also getting prominent screen time. However, there is one definite ‘mass’ moment for Thala fans: a robust fight scene shown towards the end of the trailer. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on August 10 Nerkonda Paarvai is also touted to be the second Tamil film, behind Rajinikanth’s 2.0, to release in China. Ajith’s previous outing, Viswasam, was a blockbuster and took in record collections at the domestic and worldwide box office. Kalki Koechlin will make be seen making her Kollywood debut in the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for  Nerkonda Paarvai.

Mission Mangal

Mission Mangal’, which is being touted as India’s first space film starring Akshay Kumar in the main lead which will be helmed by Jagan Shakti.  The film also features a huge star cast of Sharman Joshi, Taapsee Pannu,  Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Kulhari and Nithya Menon, This film will also mark Nithya Menon’s debut in Bollywood.  Mission Mangal, touted as India’s first space drama has been produced by Kumar’s Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios. R Balki, who has directed the actor in Padman, is also one of the producers.  Mission Mangal will release on August 15

Saaho

This is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films to be hitting screens this August. The film directed by Sujeeth features Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arun Vijay, and Mahesh Manjrekar among others. The film is touted to be India’s second expensive film made on a budget of 250 crores.  The teaser of the film was released on June 13, which had set the social media platforms on fire. The teaser went viral across the country with everyone raving about the spine-chilling stunt sequences. The teaser of the highly anticipated film showcases Prabhas in a never seen avatar. The teaser also has Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. The visuals in the teaser of the Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer “Saaho”, which was released on Thursday, take viewers on an exhilarating ride featuring high-octane action on a scale not seen in Indian cinema often. The film will release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam and will also be dubbed in Japanese.

Kaappaan

Kaappan will mark Suriya’s third collaboration with KV Anand after Ayan and Maattraan. Kaappaan also features a huge star cast on Suriya, Arya, Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa, Samuthirakani, and Bollywood star Boman Irani will be making his Kollywood debut. The makers had dropped the teaser on Tamil New Years day Suriya appears in four different looks within the first 10 seconds of the teaser. Mohanlal, who will be seen playing the role of the PM, seems to have his style inspired by Narendra Modi, complete with the glasses and the jacket. Suriya’s character comes off as a terrorist in the teaser contrary to initial reports that he would be seen playing the Prime Minister’s bodyguard. Actor Arya’s character, without giving much away, does a brief appearance in the teaser. The film’s music is composed by Harris Jayaraj who is also making a comeback after a long gap. Fans have major expectations from the film as the Surya, KV Anand and Harris Combo have given unforgettable films like Ayan and Maattraan.  Kaappaan is being bankrolled by A Subashkaran on a huge budget under his banner Lyca Productions. The film is scheduled to hit screens on August 30.
