Bengaluru Baking Company (BBC) at JW Marriott Hotel Bengaluru launched an all-new menu, curated by Chef Anirudh Amin, Chef de Cuisine. The new menu has some fabulous options comprising beverages, desserts, snacks and mains that are exclusive and exquisite with great detailing dished out to each and every offering on the menu.
Begin with a salad as refreshing as those lovely morning nature walks at Cubbon Park. Choose from a variety of salads like the BBC Classic Caesar Salad, Asian Chopped Salad, Watermelon, rucola, crumbled feta and pine nuts, Orange Caprese. Our picks would be the Asian Chopped Salad and the Orange Caprese that are juicy and crunchy on the bite and healthy of course. BBC bakes fresh breads everyday and their sandwiches are always farm fresh. There’s an exhaustive list to choose from – Prawn Po’ Boy, Steak Sandwich, Chicken and Cheese, Bombay Sandwich, Cheese and Mushroom and Caprese.
If you like Kathi Rolls then there’s Pepper Chicken Tikka roll and a Tandoori Paneer roll. The burgers here are a must try and quite a mouthful. There’s a large selection like the Pulled Butter Chicken, Sloppy Joe, Chittinad Mutton and Paneer Khurchan. We loved the Pulled Butter Chicken Burger that had tandoori butter makhni chicken, onions, chutney mayo stuffed generously in a fresh masala Brioche bun. There’s also a massive variety of appetisers that will leave you spoilt for choice. We like the Frito Misto, a dish with the best of shrimps, squids, silver fish with tartare on the side. There’s also Meen and Chips, an interesting take on Fish and Chips served with mint chutney and gunpowder fries. Order a pasta from the many options of Carbonara, Bolognese, Aglio Olio and Arrabiata.
They say variety is the spice of life and what better than implementing that thought in your drinks? If you’re tired of your regular dose of vodkas or martinis and want to give them a twist then their quirky cocktails will take you for a spin. With the combined love for spirits, tradition and history, the bartenders here curate drinks with local ingredients balanced with great technique. One that uplifted our moods instantly was called the Kathakali, inspired to the tradition of south India which describes after a dance form. The unique style and every sip will give you the touch of the Sothern part of India. The glass was dressed in a white saree with a golden border. There’s also a wide selection of Tea Cocktails, Signature Shakes, Smoothies, Juices, Lemonades and Coffee. Do try the Chikmagalur, Frozen Coffee Cubes served with Flavoured Milk. Then there’s also handpicked single estate champagne teas and first origin coffees. And since Bengalureans love their brews, there’s now fresh, natural and spicy craft beers also from their in-house microbrewery.
