Koyambedu bus stand to be renamed

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that the Koyambedu bus terminal, the largest in Asia will be named after the matinee idol and founder of the AIADMK M.G.Ramachandran. The terminal which was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Jayalalitha in 2002 will be named as Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. MGR Bus Terminus.

The terminus is being used by over 2 lakh people everyday. Plans are on to name Ramavaram Gardens on Mount-Poonamalle highway after MGR. The Chief Minister also spelt out a list of the other projects that are to be launched shortly. The schemes include Chief Minister’s Home Vegetable Cultivation Scheme, building of a over bridge at Madhya Kailash signal, construction of a six storey building at the KMC,etc.
