The first four women graduated from the tank commanders school in Israel and another six have completed training as crew members in the army. The project is a pilot programme to test if women can be an integral part of armoured operations.

However their actual deployment would depend upon the outcome of a review by the senior officers. The purpose of the pilot programme was to determine if four women could operate a tank during routine security activity and the response has been positive. The soldiers achieved all the goals that were set for them.
