Indian-American woman becomes CFO

An Indian-American woman who is a chartered financial analyst has been named as the Chief Financial Officer of the largest automaker in the U.S, the General Motors. Dhivya Suryadevara is the first woman to get this position.

The Chennai born Suryadevara will report to the Chief Executive Officer of General Motors Mary Barra who has been the only woman to head the auto industry. Dhivya got her bachelor and masters degrees from the Madras University and then moved to Harvard University to pursue MBA.Her experience and leadership in several key roles is what sets her apart.
