Indian American pushes for a Democratic nomination

Dita Bhargava,an Indian American was elected vice -chair of the Connecticut State Democratic Party in January but she wants more. She is pushing for nomination for the election of the State Governor. She is one of the four in the Democratic primary contest. Ms.Bhargava is racing to cross her first hurdle, which is to raise $2,50,000 in small contributions not exceeding $100 apiece.

She is offering to blend her Wall Street experience and progressive political values in her political career. This 45 year old lady comes from a humble background. She is encouraged by party functionaries and the South Asian American community. She was born in Ontario, Canada and has a degree in electrical engineering. She is proud to be an Indian American and of her culture. She follows politics and is inspired by Prime Minister Modi.She wants to do for Connecticut what Modi has done for India.
