Tarun Tahiliani

Latest collection:

Silhouettes that sparkle and shine, as if through a shimmering haze of stardust. “Tarakanna”, the bridal couture and occasion wear 2017 collection, in an ethereal lightness of being is a portrait of understated cosmic glamour. The new collection encapsulates Tahiliani’s love for layering and weightlessly constructed garments that fit like a glove. Through regal volumes, innovative techniques and smart contouring, the clothes glide effortless like a seamless dream, lapping at the floor below!

About the designer:

From the establishment of Ensemble, India’s first multi designer boutique, in 1987 to the founding of his own studio in 1990 and becoming the first Indian fashion designer to showcase his works at Milan Fashion Week, Tarun Tahiliani has made many contributions to Indian fashion over his career.

His signature style borrows elements of Italian pattern cutting and Indian craftsmanship mixed with modern technologies like digital textile printing, culminating in a look that is both faithful to opulent Indian aesthetics yet contemporary, chic and international.

The Hyderabad store:

The couturier’s first outpost in the Nizam’s city is located in an antique bungalow in tony Banjara Hills. The store has the same feel of a long hallway in an old-world house that is decorated with hand knotted carpets, Osler chandeliers and wooden textures that lend a timeless elegance to the store. Expect his trademark chikankari saris, concept saris, masterful drapes, anarkalis, lehengas, sherwanis, digital prints as well as his Swarovski-spangled saris.
