Hyundai Motors launched its fully electric SUV, Kona, in India. The price tag of the car is Rs 25.3 lakhs. It is India’s first fully electric SUV and promises a drive range of 452 kms on a single charge. This will become a game changer in the Indian EV market.
The vehicle can be charged in about six hours and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 9.7 seconds. The buyers will be provided with two chargers along with the car. One is a portable charger and the other an AC wall box charger. This charger can top up daily running of 59 kms in less than three hours. The company is partnering with Indian Oil Corporation to set up charging infrastructure at select fuel stations in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai.
