Summer is all about “less is more.” Be it stripes, florals, peekaboo sheer dresses, graphic bold prints on short skin-showing skater skirts, or the radical mix-and- match boho look, just remember to stay ahead with a no-holds- barred demeanour. If you dare to bare and want to send those mercury levels soaring further, then keep it effortless and casual. Fling a sheer slip with high slits in light fabrics over your shorts or ripped jeans for a chic layered look even during the hot months, or keep it simple with linen palazzos and flowy, flared long tops in quirky prints for an edgy look, or better still keep the comfort factor intact with throw-and- go spring-summer dresses that can last you through the monsoons. Take a cue from these savvy, au currant go-getters from Bengaluru, as they decode their summer staples with RITZ.

Mohammed Haris Nalapad, Executive Director, Nalapad Group, Managing Trustee of the NA Haris Foundation, active member of the Youth Congress Party shares how he maintains his dapper demure.

Keeping up with the changing state of affairs in both the political scenario and the general scheme at large, Mohammed used the social media platform to spread awareness on crucial topics and put the word out on relevant issues that are affecting the city of Bengaluru. Some of his prominent campaigns include the Anti-Drug Drive, 100% literacy and assisting and promoting youngsters to establish their businesses in Shanti Nagar.

Style statement and summer state of mind: Although it can get a tad messy for people serving in the social sector, given the amount of hustle and bustle and the constant outdoor visits one is expected to handle, Mohammed Haris Nalapad comfortably carries off his dapper and debonair look that suits every occasion he’s stepping out for. Revealing his summer look this year, the dapper entrepreneur says, “My take on summer is elementary. My mantra is not to blindly follow fashion and sport what looks good on me. I pick fabrics that are light on the skin and styles that complement my personality. I’m quite a spendthrift and being an impulsive shopper, I must confess that I don’t hold myself back from buying anything that catches my fancy. I like to indulge in luxury brands.” He chuckles, adding, “I would like to call myself flamboyant and I keep my choice of clothing in line with my mood. I like to wear comfortable and customised linen kurtas and right now you will find kurtas in every possible hue in my wardrobe.”
