#WorkFromSocial, the part of Social that provides a shared workspace for registered members, is collaborating with The Climber (an Education Technology Startup) to curate and host monthly discussion sessions featuring the top minds of the country, addressing ideas that bring about a substantial change (personally, professionally or socially). The first session at Koramangala Social will address the concept of Personal Branding. The following are the speakers who will be sharing the knowledge and wisdom that they have gathered through their life experiences:

Mitali Bhasin: At the age of 15 she started an independent sustainability project in a small village in Uttar Pradesh that led her to become a Global Youth Ambassador for GVN Foundation Tara Youth Ambassador Fundraising. This naturally led her to dabble in United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and she became a part of the Youth Hub for the same, engaging communities with a collective 1000 tweets to create awareness. Her campaigning made her take personal interest in SDG 5, Gender Equality, and she, therefore, got involved with United Nations Women’s campaign, #HeForShe with YLC. She took care of the campaign in the State of Uttar Pradesh, initiating collaborations, events and engagement. She took her impact from State to Nation by becoming one of the 250 delegates selected for Harvard University’s U.S.-India initiative followed by being the ‘Most Innovative Delegate’ at Young India Challenge, a summit for enterprising individuals.
She got involved with projects with various organizations such as United Nations Google’s CS First, UNA-USA, Creative Commons, Wikimedia, Madam Michelle Obama’s #LetGirlsLearn campaign etc. Her love for telling stories, engaging with people and making a difference made her join the famous platform Terribly Tiny Tales with their impact project. She recently become one of the 25 (under 25) people in the world to be selected by Start Up Labs, YSI andFuture Leaders’ League to work on sustainable enterprises and technology for a better world. She also got Ehsaas NGO’s award for Nation Building and Social Impact, presented by the deputy chief minister of Uttar Pradesh followed by an award for the same by Glocera firm.

Janet Orlene: Janet Orlene is a force of poetry, known for writing ocean like words – intense, calm and fierce at the same time. She has performed at several popular stages including but not limited to The Humming Tree, National Youth Poetry Slam, Under 25’s Lit Fest, Lit.Up Nagpur, Bangalore Poetry Festival, PaperMoon at #KoramangalaSocial, SteppinOutand also shared the stage with noted performers such as Sarah Kay, Kalki Koechlin, and so on. She has conducted various Spoken Word Workshops across India and also known for conducting Bhutan’s first Spoken Word workshop earlier this year. One of the first in Bengaluru, she has been a part of the building, developing the scene, watched the movement grow, and is still doing so. She is also well known as the founder of InkWeaver, an Experiential Education based platform for conducting workshops and events alongside the brand new Under the Marra which offers unique travel experiences.

Vikram Sridhar: Having gone through the typical Indian education trend of Engineering and Management studies from premier institutes, Vikram Sridhar worked in MNCs in the consulting and marketing domain before moving on to his areas of deeper interests. Story researcher Performance/Classical storyteller, and theatre practitioner Vikram Sridhar believes in Oral storytelling as a strong medium for conservation, which is highly relevant in the modern context for children and adults. He combines his 15 years of work and interest in theatre and conservation in his storytelling. He is the co-founder of Tahatto, a Bengaluru-based theatre entity and Around The Story Tree is his initiative to connect the modern-day listener to the environment around through the power of stories through arts. He is also the Co-Founder of the Bangalore Storytelling Society and conducts one of the longest running meetup in the world on Oral Stories month over month. Today he is a part of 3 of Bengaluru’s pioneer literary festivals, Bangalore Literature Festival (BLF), Bengaluru Poetry Festival and The BeSt Festival: The Bengaluru Storytelling Festival. His work with children has taken him across the country sharing stories with more than few lakhs of kids from Baroda to Itanagar, Chandigarh to Cochin.

Aakarsh Naidu: Aakarsh Naidu leads the initiatives for one of India’s top startup incubators – N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning, IIM Bangalore. He is an alumnus of The London School of Economics and Political Science – LSE and has worked with Indian School of Business as a Research Associate. Aakarsh is on the advisory panel of the Global Startup Awards (SAARC) and participated in the unveiling of the Startup India Action plan in Delhi. More recently he featured in #TheStartupVideo which garnered 65000+ views on social media.
