Gold for Sindhu

P.V.Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in a nail biting final to clinch the women’s singles title at the Korea Open Super Series in Seoul.
The 22 year old Indian overcame the eighth seeded Okuhara 22-20,11-21,20-18  and became richer by $6,00,000.Sindhu had lost to Okuhara in the World Championship final in Glasgow last month.

This win was Sindhu’s third Super Series title of her career. In an interview Sindhu said that there was no pressure on her and because of the crowd support and their expectations, she was determined to win the title. She also said that there would be little time to celebrate as she had to fly to Japan for the Japan Open where she would take on Mitani in the first round and then possibly Okuhara again.She hopes to continue her winning streak.
