Bangalore might be buzzing with thalis from various Indian states. To further titillate the taste buds, A French Thali makes its grand debut in Namme Bengaluru. Arranged neatly is a shiny steel plate could be mashed potatoes, pureed carrot, creamy spinach puree, salads, homemade ratatouille, crunchy cauliflowers, a slice of bread and a bowl of dessert.

Started by Le Casse Croute, that provides a French toasting and food truck experience in Bangalore, the thali is a “remastered French version of the Indian thali”.

Says Nicolas Grossemy from Le Casse Croute, “We’ve started our cafe almost 2 months back and we have been serving an extended menu of our Food Truck, so basically all the toasted sandwiches, plus crepes and some French specialities. So we wanted to have a signature dish, which is now live in the cafe since last Saturday. As we did with the food truck we wanted to bring something original and unique in our menu, something that people have never tried before. Yes people have tried mashed potatoes, yes they’ve tried carrot purée, but they haven’t tried the combination/fusion of all this different recipes which make Le French Thali a must try.”
