A path breaking event to foster unity among the various denominations of the Christian faith was held in a Chennai Catholic Church over the weekend. Mooted and hosted by Father T.Anthony Raj, Parish Priest of Our Lady Of Visitation Church, Abhiramapuram, the ‘Christian Unity Octave witnessed the participation of pastors representing different sects such as CSI, ECI, Anglican, Lutheran, Presbyterian, Methodist and Baptist Churches.
Based on the theme ‘Let They May Be One’, the programme was presided over by Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore Father J. Maria Amalaraj. A clarion call was made to stay united especially in the divisive times we live in.
