The Taj Krishna Hotels Hyderabad is holding a Southern Coast Food Fest till the 14th of November at its fine dining Indian restaurant Firdaus. It includes all the cuisines from the Southern Coast of India i.e. Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka.
We sampled the Meen Pollichathu (pearl spot coated with special masalas and grilled inside a banana leaf; Kori Ghassi – a chicken curry cooked Manglorean style, Ulli theeyal – a button onion dish cooked in tamarind, coconut and spices; Malabar Parotha, Avial, Veg stew, Appams and a Mangalorean rice preparation called Sannas.
The Southern Coast Food Fest can be enjoyed over Lunch (12:30 noon to 3:00 pm) as well as for Dinner (7:30 pm to 11:30 pm) with live ghazals.
