Anjali Sharma, French Curve

Are you festival ready? It’s that time of the year, when you want to add something stunning and festive to your Indian wardrobe or bring out some of your most coveted pieces and give them an all-new twist. Here’s what some of the ace Bengaluru’s fashion designers and festival fashion stores are offering to make you look like a million bucks this festival season.

An NIFT Alumni, after working in the export industry and teaching at NIFT for almost two decades, Anjali Sharma started her label FRENCH CURVE. Her biggest achievement is a runway show at the UN Headquarters NYC in 2014 during the UN General Assembly and Women Empowerment Women conference. Her label believes in sustainable slow fashion and is a part of We Connect International, SHETRADES Global, INTRACEN Geneva and CWE India, all women led and women backed organisations.

Signature Style: The mantra is to make it luxe and retain the minimal. We use natural silks and cottons and work with traditional handcraft. Our forte is hand embellishment and surface ornamentation and we are very strongly supported by our artisan team in the interiors of Uttar Pradesh.

Biggest compliments: Our clients come back for more, a lot of them almost every other day. That, for me is an achievement.

Latest Festive trends: This festive season we have done a lovely pret line of soft Silks with our signature textures and forte of hand embellishments.

Colours in vogue: The colours are rich Jewel tones, the silhouettes are smart and crisp and the Indian ethos peeps out from each style. People are binging on colour this season. From the softest of blushes and creams to stark contrasts of Aubergines and Emeralds, everything is happily allowed!
