Preparation for the Christmas cake begins much in advance. The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace set the ball rolling with the traditional cake mixing ceremony – Wednesday  6th November 2013. It’s all about rum-soaked dry fruits and nuts going in with raisins, tuti-frutti black currant, orange and ginger peel mixed in wine and brandy. This time to do the honors we have invited the two charitable organizations whom we have supported through the years – Heal a Child & Cheers Foundation. “To make a perfect Christmas cake, we need to do lot of planning in advance. All the cut dry fruits should be mixed really well with the spices so that the flavour is well absorbed. When mixed in advance, the desired flavor is attained. Alcohol helps retaining the flavour and acts as preservative. Ingredients mixed in correct proportion is the key to a perfect Christmas plum pudding.” said Executive Chef Steffan Dawson “During this event we will share our joy with children from Cheers Foundation and friends from Heal a Child Foundation.
